Bottle Stopper and Glass Charms using Pinque Peacock Beads

Hello everyone and thank you for coming back to my blog for another day of Pinque Peacock  beads from the Bead Buffett.

Today I wanted to try something different, and do a project with beads.  What I thought was going to be a fun and easy project, turned out to be a little more difficult than I had hoped.

I first started with the wine glass charms.  While this was a fast and easy task, it was not without a few snags.  Though, they were quickly and easily taken care of with a quick trip to the store.  Thankfully, my hubby support my craft addiction and is always willing to take me across town when need be.  I am lucky and thankful for that.

I struggled getting the beads on the wires.  After a little frustration, I got out my covered pliers and straightened the wire tips. Making it much faster and easier to slide my beads onto the wires.  I simply just used my flat covered pliers and rebent the wires as they were before.  The charms are some that I picked up at Michael's.  I had them left over from another project I completed.

I still need to get some crimper beads and put on the very ends to keep the beads from sliding all over the place while drinking from the wine glass.

I didn't stop there however, I also wanted to make a wine bottle stopper.  This is where the fun began.  I honestly had not thought about how thick the stem of the stopper would be when I started this project and purchased my beads from Jessica.

The beautiful pink swirled beads would not fit on the stem. the holes were much to small.  I was so disappointed.  However, there can always be a plan B. Right ladies?

Plan B was to find bigger beads, then create a dangle from a bead. I found a cute little butterfly bead that had an eyelet on it that would be perfect to hang a dangle from.  Here is what I came up with.

Oh my, I just realized when I put up that picture that I failed to add the charm to the dangle to match the wine glass charms.   I like how this turned out, even if I did have to revert to plan B.

I hope you like my project today!  Now, off I go to fix my stopper and add a matching charm.

New Release Tuesday at The Stamping Chef

Hello and it is another  New Release Tuesday with The Stamping Chef.

I am back again on this wonderful Tuesday with another great digi from The Stamping Chef.  Each Tuesday two new digis are released in the store.  I really liked this weeks new release, and found so many wonderful uses for it.

Again, I colored my digi with my copic markers.  I am really beginning to enjoy the process of coloring with my markers, even though I still have a lot of work to do.  I have found I do better when I stick to the lighter colors.  Maybe it is because I do not yet have a full set and can not do the proper blending.

This weeks card is using the Keep Your Faith digi stamp. I just love the two big pink roses beside the praying hands.

I thought the antique looking musical paper was a great choice for this image.  I then embellished the card with a larger white rose and two smaller pink ones.  I thought about adding some pearls, but then decided it would distract from the beauty of this great digi.

Celebrate with Down Memory Lane and Pinque Peacock.

Hello again to all my crafty friends.  Today I am supporting a friend in celebrating her 1st birthday with Down Memory Lane.  This posting is a dual posting, as It is also my posting for my monthly Design Team.  What a great way to celebrate, than to share it with more people.  Please be sure to stop in and visit both blogs and see some really fabulous projects.  I know you will not be disappointed.

I created this beautiful card by using papers from my scrap drawer, 3 Girl Jam ribbon (I think), Pinque Peacock embellishments, and a wonderful digi stamp from Scrapbook Stamp Society called Girl Flower Butterfly.  You can click on any of the above links to take you to the appropriate site.

The embellishments from Pinque Peacock are the stick pin is a Czech Glass Faceted Beads with Pearl and Crystal Accents and the button is a Quality Silk (with metal Accents) Covered Button.  You can get them in 3/4" (flat back or eyelet available).

Thank you for stopping by my blog today, please by again tomorrow to see another project I am working on for Pinque Peacock.

Scrapbook Stamp Society and Mitzi Sato-Wiuff

Good Monday Moring to you all,

Today I bring you a posting from Scrapbook Stamp Society and Mitzi Sato-Wiuff . This great digi is called LaSylphide.

This week we were challenged to use flowers on our creations.  The flowers could be either in the digi itself or added.  I chose to do both.  This digi has beautiful flowers on her dress, but I also chose to add three small flowers in the bottom left hand corner with my transparent bow.  I complemented my flowers and bow with and pink stick pin with a pearl heart.  Finally, I added a die cut butterfly in the top right hand corner.

I hope you like my card.

Gardenia by Mitzi-SatoWiuff

Hello everyone, today is my day to post on the Scrapbook Stamp Society Blog.  I apologize for getting my posting up a little late.  I have had a busy week with my teaching, and procrastinated completing this card.  I did all the things I tell my students not to do.  I know, right!!!

Anyways, I continue to get better with my copic markers, and have found that I really enjoy the coloring process and learning to blend all the colors together.

The image I used for this card is from  Mitzi-SatoWiuff and is called Gardenia. To be honest, this image is way out of my comfort zone, and when I chose it, I really had to wonder what I was thinking.  However, I am very glad I chose it and colored it.  It took me a while, but I like how it turned out.

I hope you like her as much as I do!

The Stamping Chef ~ New Release Tuesday

Hello and it is another  New Release Tuesday with The Stamping Chef.

I am back again to share more new releases.  A cute cat and a wonderful camera digi.  Both digi's have unlimited possibilities and I can't wait for you to see what my design team sisters have done with these two images.  I know you won't be disappointed.

Here I what I have done with the images.  The first is the cat.  I love cats, but they don't like me.  They make me sneeze, so pictures and digis are all I can have.  I colored this digi using my Copic Markers.  I am getting better, but I know that I have a long way to go to  compete with others that I have seen.   I just keep practicing!

This digi is called The Cat's Meow and can be found by clicking on the link.

The second digi is called We Just Click.  Click on the link to go to the store to get your own digi.

Make sure you visit The Stamping Chef blog to see other great designs by the Design Team.  While you are on the blog, make sure you check out the challenges that are taking place.  I hope you will participate.

Scrapbook Stamp Society ~ Christmas Fairy by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff

Welcome back to my blog and thank you so much for visiting. Today I have a great image for you from Mitzi Sato-Wiuff called Christmas Fairy.  Click on the name to get this great image yourself.  I love this digi and decided to color it in orange rather than Christmas colors.   While I love how the digi turned out once I colored her, I should have better planned with the papers that I had in stock.  I had a very hard time matching papers to the color of orange that I colored.   Lesson learned,  pick out papers, or at least have some in mind before you sit down to the craft table to color.

Here is my completed card.

I embellished my card with three small flowers and a pretty shiny transparent bow.  I do like how the winds turned out on this digi.

Thanks for stopping in today, and I would love to read your  comments.
