When I thought about this hop, and what fast food was, I knew I wanted to do something different.  I thought many people would take the "fast food" route of McDonald's, Wendy's and the likes.  I started to do that myself and then decided I wanted to do something different in terms of fast food.

It is nearly the official start of summer, and there will be a lot of camping, family reunions, and family picnics.  This is the type of fast food that I thought of first when I decided to do this project.

I used the Block Party Cartridge to cut everything on the fun sign that will hang on my refrigerator for the time being.

I'm sew glad you stopped by to check out our latest recipe, no tip is necessary but please leave a message for the establishment. Your next stop through the drive through window is to see what they are serving!

Hugs and Love and thank you for helping me celebrate Lynne's blogaversary!!!!

Guest Designer for Her Craftiness

Today I have the honor of being the guest designer for my dear friend Lynne over at HerCraftiness.  I am so excited to share this cute card I made.   I am always looking for new and fun ideas to incorporate into my cards, and one day last week I found this great free svg file.  (I just wish I could remember where I found it).

It took several attempts of cutting out this frame before I finally got it.  I am using a well used cricut mat so I had problems with the mat ripping in places it was not supposed to cut.  Such is life right?

Once I got the mat cut, I glued it to the card stock card (6 x 6) and added the blue gems. This alone would have made a beautiful card, however, I wanted to add Ellie, this cute elephant.  Ellie is a paper piecing from Paper Piecings by Nikki.  You can find her web site here. Ellie is the elephant from the So Junglicious Pattern set.  What I love about paper piecing, as the designer, you can do so many different things with the pattern. It is all up to your imagination.  For instance, I did not want to glue on all her little toe nails, so I used a gel pen and colored them on.  I really think they they would look awesome when using some smooch.

I hope you like Ellie, I think she turned out so cute.  I chose the elephant from this set because Elephants never forget, and she signify that I will never forget my friend Lynne.

Here is Ellie . . .

Thanks Lynne for having me as your guest designer.

I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose ~ May 21

Today is day twenty one for the month of May.

The sketch I used today was sketch number 30.

This is what I did with the sketch.

This birthday wishes card was made from one of Daisy's vintage printables that she will be selling in her shop. You will need to watch her blog to get your own copy of her print files.  I know you will love them as much as I do.

The rest of the card is made from my scrap stash. I used a small piece of ivory card stock and covered it with a green ribbon, then covered the green ribbon with an ivory lace.   I topped it all off with a two-toned flower secured with a brad.

Please make sure you check out my DT sisters cards as well.  I know you won't be disappointed.

I encourage you all to visit and check out her sketches by joining her Facebook group!

Team Princess ~ Strawberry Shortcake Butterfly

Team Princess is up this week with a cute butterfly card.

This butterfly is made from the Strawberry Shortcake file and can be found under vintage TV shows or by following this link, http://www.scrappingwithlisadesigns.com/item_14/Strawberry-Shortcake.htm

The key to this week’s project was to create a card with this butterfly, however, the card must have dimensions included.

This is what I decided to do with the butterfly file.  I always like to add my own twist to any paper piecing project that I do, and this file was no different.   I knew I wanted my butterfly to be pink and green, so I dug through my scrap stack until I found the two colors that I wanted.  I cut four pieces for the wings and on for each of the body parts.  I then carefully inked the edges of all of my peices, and ran the wings through the Cuddle Bug to add the polka-dot patterns to add a pattern to her wings.  I also like to give my paper piecings their own faces, so I used parts of the file and then add my own touch. I did not like the flower for her nose, so I simply used my hole punch and punched out a dot.  Gel pens completed the smile for the butterfly.  I then completed the butterfly by adding flowers on the wings and a cute little bow on the top of her head.

I did not want the little butterfly to be all alone on the front of the card, so I added a Toad Stool to keep her company!

Please take time to visit all of team princess projects this week by going to each blog listed below. They each have their own take on the project.
