Who Says an Insect Can't Be Cute ~ Day Two

I know as a woman --- the thought of "bugs" really isn't appealing but when you add a cute little face or a smile ... this insect is actually not as "YUCK" but becomes "CUTE". There are adorable, what did I say that a bug could be cute and adorable!!!! Well, that's what's this hop is dedicated to our imagination and making these cute little critters look cute!!!!

Sit back, and try not to itch and check out our bugs. If you happened to stop and visit me today, I'm honored, but please do not squish that bug as it is my project for today!!! I would love for you to start at the beginning so that you don't miss a single bug which would be Lisa at http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/. If you arrived from <  http://scrappyemt.blogspot.com > then you are at the right ant hill!!!!

Ha!!!  Who said bugs can't be cute never paper pieced the "Cute as a Bug" patterns from Scrapping With Lisa Designs.

You will not find the ant in the store yet, as he was an award from her fan page, however, I am sure he will be there soon.  However, unitl he is, you can paper piece these other cute bugs by picking up "Cute as a Bug" file using this link.  http://www.scrappingwithlisadesigns.com/item_18/Cute-As-A-Bug.htm

Welcome back for day two.  Today, I want to show you what I did with the wonderfully cute insects I made yesterday.  When I first tried to decide what to do I had visions of a layout, however, I could never come up with a good layout design.  So, I did what I always do and I asked my sister in law for inspiration.  This is what we came up with.

Ant walking along plant potted with a green plant.

Dragon Plant stake

Firefly Plant stake
To make the plant stakes, I simply took some floral wire and double it, twisted it as tight as I could, then used hot glue to hold the wire to the back of the insect.  The firefly I have wrapped around a water globe that we use to keep the water levels up in our plants.

I did the ant a little bit different.  I took three paper clips and glued them to the back of the sections of the ant.  This allows me to put the ant on many different size pots with ease.

Aren't these just the cutest bugs?  I know I like them.  Now, make sure you come back tomorrow to see what I am going to do with this collection of cute little bugs.

Your next stop along the spider web is <  http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/ >. Thanks for stopping and no more squishing or stepping on these little cute insects! If you get lost along the way, we have included the entire hop lineup:
