The hop starts with Lynne (http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/). You won't want to miss a single occasion!!!

This month I am doing two cards for this hop. I have had a busy couple of days so once again you get to see the more simplistic side of my artistic talents. My first card is for May 6th, National Beverage Day, so I went with something that my husband and I both drink, I the hot chocolate, and he the coffee, and tea.

I used my colored pencils and blending stick to add the color to this card, and a simple sentiment of thanks in the center. It seems people always gather for a good cup of coffee and a chat, so I thought this would be a good way to show appreciation for the drinks.

My second card is for Lucky Penny Day on May 23rd. This card has spoken to me several times this week. My husband and I walk daily, (to and from the post office) and on at least three occasions this week I have stopped to pic up a penny in the street. Who remembers the saying, "Find A Penny, Pick it up. All day long you'll have good luck". For that very reason, I have done my card with a penny background and the saying, "Find A Penny".

The line-up for May includes:

Lisa Peters: http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/ (Lisa may be up late due to a family emergency)

Stop by and check out these holidays as I am sure you are going to want to remember these holidays and include them in your card making projects!!!!!

We will have blog candy to the lucky recipient that remarks on each site along the way!

Thanks for stopping by and mark your calendar again next month to see what Holidays to Celebrate on June 9th for the next Calendar Girls Blog Hop!
