The above card is my rendition of the wonderful sketch. When I first started making cards, I really disliked the pointed banners, (mostly because I could not make them), however, now, I like them and realize they add a great deal to the wonderful design of the card. Especially when paired with the right papers.
For this card, I used two different papers from Tsunami Rose, the first is the back ground paper, "Vintage Rouge". I just love this beautiful paper with the bright pink roses. But then again, pink is my favorite color.
When you couple that beautiful background paper with the floral post card (which is one of Daisy's free printables) I really liked the look. I inked the edges of the post card with some light pink ink, and used some pop dots to help bring it up off the page. I completed the design by adding the four pink flags, which I also lightly inked and two beautiful gold pearl buttons.
The tag I used is from a pad of Studio 112 Ornate tags which I got at JoAnn's for a buck, which I embellished with a nice pink ribbon.
