To honor not only my grandparents but all grandparents, I made this card.
The card is made using the cartridge A Child's Year. I cut each of the images at 2" tall, then added them to 2.5" squares. I did not like the squareness (is that a word) so I rounded off the corners. I then simply added the images to a black layer ontop of a purple layer. I struggled with my sentiment, so I had to seek help from my Sister-in-Law. She helped me position the sentiment correctly because the one I had planned to use ended up being much to big for where I planned to use it.
Does this not look like all of the fun things we like to do with our grandchildren?

Your card is a beautiful tribute to grandparenting! I too have very fond memories of each of my grandparents. One I was just thinking about yesterday was that my one grandpa worked at a printing press in NYC; he used to bring home boxes of padded scrap paper on which we'd draw and write. We're it not for that paper, I wonder if I would appreciate the love of paper that I have now?
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice hopping with you, Kimberly! Happy Grandparents' Day!!
Fondly,
