TODAY'S SKETCH IS #24

Photobucket

This is my take on Sketch 24. I love the paper I used for this card. I have not always been a vintage person, but the more I use the different papers, the more I fall in love with it.   This card is one of the first times I have used lace on a card.

The circle is a paper doily, where I cut out the center and glued the remainder to a blue colored paper.  I then adorned it with pearls at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 positions.  The complimented it with small diamond gems.  I really like how this card turned out.

I sent this card to a friend, and she really liked it.  I really like it when one of my cards makes a friend happy and brightens their day.

If you enjoyed the awesome sketches and like what you saw please join us over on our Facebook Group -  where you can view others using I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose.   Don't worry about having to create a card everyday...it's a GREAT place  to view others' creations to use as inspiration and of course meet some  new talented crafty friends...hope to see you there!

Walt Disney's Animated Movies Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to Walt Disney's Animated Movies Blog Hop!!! What makes this hop phenomenal as in no other hop is that every Friday, we will be paying tribute to different movies SOOOO, you will need to mark you calendars for every Friday for these special blog hops:

March 30: Alice in Wonderland
April 6: Lady and the Tramp
April 13: Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs
April 20: Sleeping Beauty
April 27: Tinker Bell

Today, we are celebrating all those cute characters that come alive on the screen with Alice in Wonderland. If you just happened to fall down the rabbit hole to visit me today, I wouldn't want you to miss one cup of tea with the Mad Hatter and would want you to start with Lisa at http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/. You are at the right spot!!!!

My project today is a single page layout.

First I would like to say I am sorry that my Alice is not completely done, however, it is Alice's fault not mine. She had a mind of her own today and I had to cut her numerous times to get all the pieces to work correctly. My cricut machine does not like to cut small pieces, instead it just mangles them. So, her little feet parts and her little fingers kept causing me problems. Then of course you add the human error element, and well, that pretty much sums up the Alice problems.

I still plan to add another graphic to the top of the page, or maybe Alice's name. And, I plan to add a second page with the queen of hearts as well. I hope they are not as persnickety as Alice was to cut out ...

All of the papers I used for Alice were from my Scrap Box with the exception of the black paper and the back ground paper.

There is a great line-up today for the hop and I wouldn't want you to miss a single drop of tea or a crumpet crumb or shall we put it mildly - "Off with your head!":

You are probably wondering if there is going to be a prize for this hop. There is. It will be a Disney animated movie but I will reveal as to which movie it is going to be at a later time. To be eligible for this prize, you have to follow my blog and everyone else's blog that is in this hop. You also must leave me and the other wonderful ladies a comment in order to qualify for the prize. The grand prize will be awarded at the end of this month. You get one entry for each of the 4 blog hops during the series of Walt Disney Animated Movies Blog Hops during each of the Friday's in the month of March. So if you just choose one of the Fridays to attend, you would only get one entry but if you choose to attend all four hops during the month of March, you get a bonus entry since you came to all four hops, then you will receive 4 + 1 entries, which makes your chance of winning the movie go up with each entry.

Thanks for stopping by today and visiting and checking out my project, I now must send you on your merry way but watch out for the queen of hearts as I send you on to ...(please put the next link here). Please stop back again real soon for another great project.

TODAY'S SKETCH IS #9

Photobucket

Here is my version of the first sketch.

The paper I used for this card is from the DCWV The Rustic stack. I love the paper as it reminds me of the wonderful wall papers in my grandmothers house. For the beautiful roses on my page I used a vintage arts web site. www.farfarhill.blogspot.com this site offers some wonderful vintage papers and graphics. Be careful thou, this is a site where you can spend hours just looking before you ever decide what you really want to use.

I made this card to send to a very special friend, hence the sentiment. She knows that I often have a problem with keeping things straight when I craft, so I purposely made the sentiment cooked.

I completed the card by adding some lace and an ivory colored rose in the top right corner.

Don't worry about having to create a card everyday...it's a GREAT place to view others' creations to use as inspiration and of course meet some new talented crafty friends...hope to see you there!

Creative Spaces

Have your scrapping and paper crafts taken over an area of your home and that tiny cramped space is soooooo crowded there is barely room for you to sit let alone craft!!!! Oh my, have I hit the nail on the head --- oops, never mind there's no room even for a nail!!!! Us ingenious crafters always can find a space to craft and play with our paper and we're just going to do that and show you our craft space...

Now, don't call the show "Hoarders" on us because they will think we are going to be buried alive but we know better .... If you happened to stumble upon my blog today, I congratulate you that you found your way but would love for you to find your way to the door again --- see, its over there beyond that bag with the new papers and glue gun -- to the beginning of the hop which is Lisa at http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/ You should have arrived from Vicki showing of her space!!!!No, it doesn't get larger if you look at it through a magnifing glass!!!!

This is my wonderful craft space. A perfect little nook in what was once our guest room. Thanks to the talent of my hubby, I have a wonderful peg board to my left and some great necessary shelves where things are readily available when I scrap.

Now, that you have seen my craft of clutter, I must send you on your way to Colleen - oops oh no, watch that avalanche - oops, too late!
