Scrapping with Scrappy Design Team ~ Monthly Blog Hop
Welcome to our little Design Team Monthly Blog Hop
This month is about the May Flowers
I love the month of May for so many reasons...
the weather is warming up and we are able to get outside and
feel the warmth of the sun and the fresh air.
May is also my Birthday month.
It is also a busy time for most of us
kids are getting out of school for the summer and vacations are being planned
so this month we are a very small blog hop...
I have 2 other friends jumping in with the blog hop cause some of
team members are very busy with graduations and weddings.
My project for today . . .
Today I have two different cards to share with you. Both were fast and easy to complete. I had a lot of fun with these two cards. The first card is flower pot card that I used punch outs to complete. The base is actually shaped like a nice clay pot, however, once I added the flowers, I quickly realized I glued them down a little to low and you could not longer see the top of the flowerpot. To complete the card, I added some glossy accents to the center of the flowers, and a ribbon around the flower pot.
My second project is another card. This too is a fast and simple project that I used the remainder of my flower cut outs. I layered them and secured them using a brad for the center. I was really surprised that I had a brad that matched that well. I completed the design by adding a small sentiment in the top portion of the card.
So come and hop along with us today...
FIBROMYALGIA AWARENESS DAY BLOG HOP
This is an important cause because we all know someone in our life who suffers from this disease, maybe even the person sitting next to you for the last couple of crops. Most of the time no one knows in how much pain that person is in, and just think they look healthy and fine. And this is the reason this blog hop was created. To acknowledge our friends and let them know that we are there for them.
Now moving on to the rules for the hop. As we all know the theme is "Anything Purple". It can be a card, a scrapbook page, a decoration, etc. Let your imagination take you to the next level. Just think on making a Fibromyalgia patient to feel better, "be there for them". When you post your project please talk a little about what really inspired you to participate and to make your project.
You are might be wondering if there is a prize for this hop. Yes, there is a prize. It will be a bag full of purple things, from scrapbooking supplies to personal items. You won't be disappointed.
Also, Mrs. Alma Brooks from Alma's Pink life is having a Silhouette gift card that she is going to incorporate as a prize for her post.
To be eligible for the prizes you have to follow my blog and everyone else's blog that is in this hop. You also must leave me and the ladies a comment in order to qualify for the prize. You get one entry for each comment you leave at each blog. If you choose not to make a comment on one of the hops you will get one entry but you won't get the +1 entry you would get if you make a comment on all hops. The bonus entry (7+1).
Thank you and good luck with your comments!
Here is my project for today.
A friend sent me this great stamped image, I just love the little cat peeking out of all those lovely flowers. I simply used my Prisma Water Color Pencils and my Tsukineko Fantastix blending tool to create this card. When I got the card completed, I found the white to be a very stark distinctive glare. So I decided to take my Tim Holtz Dusty Concord distress ink and add some color to the edges. Very difficult to do once the card has already been glued down on the paper. I completed the look of the card by adding a dark purple ribbon and a couple of pink button tulips.
Thank you for taking the time to view my project today. Please make sure you visit the other blogs and leave comments for the chance to be entered to win a great prize.
HERE IS THE GREAT LINE UP FOR THE BLOG HOP
I don't want you to miss any of the great projects these ladies have put together. I have faith that the team has been working hard for this event with just a couple of days to put it together.

Animated Movie Blog Hops ~ Dumbo
Today, we are celebrating all those cute characters that come alive on the screen. If you just happened to visit me today, I wouldn't want you to miss one chime of the clock and would want you to start with Lisa at http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/. You are at the right spot!!!!
My project today is a Birthday Card
I used a file from the site, http://www.mardenz.blogspot.com/. She has some great files on this site. You just have to be patient when you use some of them.
Here is little Dumbo when he is first learning to fly. Look at how happy he is, flying high above the circus tents and banners. He now knows, he can "Soar to New Heights".
The sentiment is cut from a free SVG file from www.svgcuts.com, while the sentiment is written using my cricut pens. The circus paper is from my Stampin Up stash.
There is a great line-up today for the hop and I wouldn't want you to miss a single spot:
Dumbo Blog Lineup:
Lisa - http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/
Lynne ~ http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/
Kimberly ~ http://scrappingrookie.blogspot.com
Anita ~ http://www.anitaandbugs.blogspot.com
You are probably wondering if there is going to be a prize for this hop. There is. It will be a Disney animated movie but I will reveal as to which movie it is going to be at a later time. To be eligible for this prize, you have to follow my blog and everyone else's blog that is in this hop. You also must leave me and the other wonderful ladies a comment in order to qualify for the prize. The grand prize will be awarded at the end of this month. You get one entry for each of the 4 blog hops during the series of Walt Disney Animated Movies Blog Hops during each of the Friday's in the month of May. So if you just choose one of the Fridays to attend, you would only get one entry but if you choose to attend all four hops during the month of May, you get a bonus entry since you came to all four hops, then you will receive 4 + 1 entries, which makes your chance of winning the movie go up with each entry.
Thanks for stopping by today and visiting and checking out my project, I now must send you on your way but watch out for the evil characters that stand in the way of happiness for our heros as I send you on to ...(please put the next link here). Please stop back again real soon for another great project.

Scrapping with Scrappy Design Team Vacation Challenge
Good Morning and welcome back to my weekly postings for my Scrapping with Scrappy Design Team posting. This week we were asked to create a Layout using the Vacation Theme. Lucky for me this is a layout that is on my long list of "must do". My husband and I are cruisers so I have a lot of pictures that I need to scrap for multiple vacations. This gave me just the boost that I needed to get started.
For this challenge, I made a two page layout using the Pack Your Bags Cricut cartridge.
The layout is complete with a cruise ship and fun in the sun. I will be adding photos at some point, but really need to get more pages completed before I go through the vast amount of photos I have.
For this challenge, I made a two page layout using the Pack Your Bags Cricut cartridge.

Let Your Artistic Nature Fly
Let Your Artistic Nature Fly
Welcome to the Team Princess bi-weekly blog hop for Scrapping With Lisa’s Designs. This week Team Princess is working on the Blue Bird from the Birds Pattern set. However, there are a few challenges that go along with the blue bird. We were not allowed to create the bird in blue, nor were we allowed to create a card or a layout. We hope this shows the real versatility in Lisa’s patterns.
One really nice thing about Paper Piecing with Lisa’s patterns is you can cut them out with a machine, or you can cut them out by hand. She also provides a digital image of each as well.
Our blog hop starts here, http://scrappingwithlisadesignsdt.blogspot.com/ , so please start from the beginning and spread your wings to fly from one blog to the next and check out the wonderful designs by team princess.
You will find the Bird patter here, (http://www.scrappingwithlisadesigns.com/item_17/Birds.htm)
What a cute little bird this is and how fun it was to play around with the many ways that you can create with it. I knew from the start that I wanted to put my bird in a cage. I have the Cricut Cartridge Four Legged Friends, so I used this to cut the bird cage.
I had planned to put the bird in the cage, but he was determined to be on the outside. I say that because I laid him in some glue and got glue on the cage, and I had to hide my mistake. I ended up with a small rip in the paper when I tried to move him. So, I let him fly free and perch on the outside of the cage for now.
I accented the look by adding some flowers to the cage and embellished them with little pink gems. I then added some extra gems on the bars of the cage to help bling it up.
I completed the look by adding a little pink butterfly above the bird.
Thank you for stopping by today and please remember to visit my Design team sisters blogs. We all look forward to your comments, as this is how we all improve our work.
