The Stamping Chef Celebrations Challenge

I am starting the new year off right, in my craft room working on challenges.  Today, I am doing the celebrations challenge from The Stamping Chef.

The challenge was to create a card from any image so I used on the the free images found Miffy which can be found here.

To create this cute card, I create a card stock base, then covered it with Rainbow Hearts paper from Paper Pizazz, which after doing an online search, I have learned is now Paper Wishes.   I got the pretty sheet of paper from Lynne over at HerCraftiness.

Miffy was colored using crayola colored pencils and blended with gamsol.  I used a copic marker (E00 skin white) to color her face, arms, and legs.  Miffy is pop-dotted up off of the paper over the top of a bright pink satin ribbon.  I used the "My Valentine" stamp and a diamond heart to complete the Valentine's Day card.

I hope you will take time to create a "celebrations" card for the fun challenge.  There are some great images on the site to use.

Thanks for stopping by today!

  2. Hi Kimberly, thanks for your sweet comment. Easel cards are easy as are the twisted ones...love to see one from you. Love this card and I too like to use my pencils with gamsol...find copics quicker and easier at times except when they drop a blog of ink onto my project. Thanks for the link to this cute freebie....have joined your blog as a newie...I have a candy going if you are interested in joining...luv annie..
