Hello everyone, and thank you for stopping by my blog today to check out my newest creation.  Today, I am going to show you just the start of a 6 x 6 mini that I am working on right now.

I have not yet created on mini so this is a slow process for me, but one that I am really enjoying the process of working on each step of the book.   I hope that you like what I am doing. 

I have not yet created the cover for my book, so you will see pages one and two today, and pages three and four in a few days.  I have not yet decided how I will bind this book, so I am leaving plenty of space on the left hand side for whatever binding I chose.   Page one uses two wonderful Pinque Peacock products.  Both the beautiful flower and the wonderful stick pin are part of the new June release.  When I set up the design, I wanted to make sure I had plenty of space for a picture to be added  on the photo frame. So, I removed the bottom petals on the flower and I stored it away for use later in my project.

This photo frame will also allow for a small photo mat to be inserted under the scrolled area of the photo mat.  I am not quite sure what I would like to do with this yet, so I have not  completed that step. 

Did I mention that I really love this flower, and the floral pattern with the solid red. 

For my second page, I did something just a little bit different.  On this page, not only did I add a photo mat I also added a tabbed pullout allowing for even more pictures or some type of journaling.

I used a fun Stars and Strips paper and the beautiful stars button from the new June release.  I love how this page turned out.  The great button, the fun paper, and the sparkling bling all complete this page wonderfully.  After all, isn't that what we all look forward to at the end of the day of celebration? The sparkles of the fireworks displays . . .  

Now, I still wanted more with this page, so I added a folded pull out tab.  This pullout will allow for added pictures, and even some journaling if so desired.  I used all of the colors of the page within the pullout.  Below are the pictures of the front, inside and the back of the tabbed pullout.

I hope you have enjoyed todays project.  Please come back in a few days to see more pages added to my first mini album.  Sometimes, it is really a good idea to force yourself out of your comfort zone.  You never know what you will be able to create if you just free up your mind.
