FABRIC DIE CUT EMBELLISHMENTS

Fabric Die Cut Shapes with a Stiff Card Stock Backing to use
on your CRAFTY PROJECTS!

Hello again,  how great have the first two days of this blog hop been?  Haven't the projects been just outstanding?  It is so impossible to pick a favorite, let's not even try.

For todays project, I wanted to do something fun and creepy.  While I know we have the "A Pirate's Life" theme I just could not pass up making this wonderful cut file from the Silhouette Online Store. It took just minutes to cut the files out.  I do believe it took me longer to figure out which was the top and which was the bottom before I cut it out.

I cut the file out then use my Red Line extra sticky tape doubled up to ensure my coffin did not fall apart. I mean, really, who wants their buried treasure falling out in transport.   I used the new Fabric Die Cut Shape to adorn the top of my coffin and gave him some glowing eyes.  I also added some simple black roses to the top and one single one to the bottom corner of the top.

What do you think?

After talking to my SBFF, she helped me adorn the sides of my fun new coffin.  She suggested that I add some black lace to spruce it up a bit.  So I went diggin' for black lace and I found this great lace that my friend Veronica  gave me.  I think it worked perfectly for this project, don't you?  While it is hard to tell, there is a little bit of gold in that lace.

Now, pirates didn't just burry their bones in their coffins.  Many times, they buried their treasures there as well.  I am no different.  While I don't have a heart in mine like in the Pirate's of the Caribbean.  I do have a treasure you might be tempted to go after.

What do you think, do you believe someone will be coming after my treasure?

I hope you enjoyed my project for day three. I know I sure had a blast making it.  With Halloween right around the corner, I think it is a perfect combination of Pirate and Halloween.

Remember to hop through all three days of the hop and leave your comments on each blog.  You will then be entered to win a super fantastic prize.  There is a complete listing of all three days below.
