Hello Everyone, and thanks for coming back to check out the New Release Tuesday with The Stamping Chef. I hope you enjoy the new look of my blog. I know a lot of hard work went into the new design. I think it is much nicer to look at, and it certinaly is much easier to navigate.
Today, I have to two fun cards for you.
The first (sorry for the poor quality of picture) is title "Foiled Again" and was created for one of our wonderful design team members who is a hair dresser. She has her own salon called Foiled Again.
I colored this digi with my copic markers, then mounted her on purple papers to highlight the colors in her shirt and pants. Purple is also, (if memory serves me right) one of the colors she is using in her salon.
I added a layer of Swiss dot embossed paper over a layer of purple paper and (tried) to evenly space the two and center the colored digi over the top of them.
Of course, no card is complete without a bit of bling. So, I added some matted diamonds. The reminded me of the lights that would be used in a modeling studio as well as the lights used around the mirrors of a salon station.
My second card is titled "Ariana". I guess I must have been in a purple kind of mood when I was coloring. Ariana is layered on the same purple paper I used for the Foiled Again card. However, I also added a much lighter shade of purple in as well. I wanted her to pop off the page and stand out against the flowers in the back ground.
I added a scalloped die cut in the two purples along the side of the card and topped that off with a purple and white layered flower and then golden ivory colored pearls. The sentiment was layered over the purples.
I really like how this one turned out. The yellows in the floral back ground compliment her hair color and the light lavender color compliments the purple in her dress and hat.
I appreciate your stopping in for a visit today. I hope you will take the time to stop in and view all the great digis at The Stamping Chef. There are some adorable ones coming out, I know you will not want to miss out on them.
I would love to hear your comments.
