With all of the fun stuff out of the way, let's get to my own card for this celebration.  I have these great looking old-fashioned candy kabobs.  Who doesn't remember the fabulous old-fashioned candy as a kid? Even today we can still get that replicated candy.  Just working on this fun digi made my mouth water.

I had so many ideas when I first started working with these candy kabobs. However, some were greater than my talent.  So, I thought, old-fashioned candy, how about an old-fashioned window display?

I used colored pencils to color my candy.  Plans were to use liquid glass to make the candy glossy and add some glitter for sugar. That is until I realized, my liquid glass was no longer liquid. I had not used it for a while, and when I did, I found it dried up. Bummer!!!

I used Recollections paper for this card. The Sugar Plum stack was the perfect choice. A nice Damask with some added candy print helps to accent my candy kabobs.  I needed a little bit of sparkle, so it looked like lights shining down on it, so I added random sparkles.   What store front is complete without a facing? So, I trimmed down a sheet of paper, using just the candy covered cupcakes and added that to look like a shelf facing.  I finished the set off by adding the sentiment, "You are so Sweet" to attract window shoppers.

I hope you enjoyed my card and the rest of the blog hop..  Below is the list of other designers. Please make sure you visit each blog to earn your opportunity to win one of our fabulous prizes.
