This week, I used a super cute file from Kitty Bee Designs called Sleepy Love Bug.  How cute is he?

When I first saw this image, all I could think of was "Snug as a bug" but didn't really like how that sounded for a card, so I went with something a little fun.   I turned to my Silhouette to find a fun design to use, and found "Cute as a Bug". I hope you like it, as it was fun to create.

Shy Rose from Faery Ink

Here we are, it's Wednesday again, and that means another crafty challenge with the Crafty Belle's and the Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog.

This week the challenge is Punches and/or Dies

Our sponsor(s) this week are:

Farey Ink Image
Faery Ink

This weeks challenge was to use punches and/or dies.  I have a Cameo, so I have few punches and dies, but I found a couple that worked perfectly for the challenge.  However, I do not know the name of either one, as I do not store my dies in the original packages.  I keep them on a magnetic sheet in a small square plastic box.

I used the image Shy Rose from Faery Ink and colored her with my Prisma Colored Pencils.  I wanted a soft feel because of the shy nature of the design.   Using a light opaque sheet of paper from my stash, I layered my image over a light pink card stock.  Both pieces were cut from a die.

Roses were a must for this shy little faery ink image. So, I added them in the bottom.  Tucking a few pearls in along the way.  I finished off the card by cutting a Birthday Wishes sentiment from another die and topping it with roses.

Thanks for looking!

Wind In My Hair

Now, this week I have tried something a little bit different.  To be honest, I am still up in the air if I really love what I have done.  I Like it, but not sure I love it.  But then, something new  sometimes takes me a while.

Our challenge was to use ribbon on our creation.  So, I thought about what I wanted to do with this wonderful fairy with the wind blowing through her hair.

I used a silhouette of a fairy (reminds me of tinkerbell) and placed her at the bottom of my card. then I used a nested design from my silhouette and created a thought bubble.  Now, what I am to do about that ribbon we are supposed to use.  The card is already busy (which is why I think I might not love it) so how do I add ribbon.  A layer under the thought bubble.  I then thought small bows on each side, but scratched that idea, again, because it was to busy.  I settled for two flat back pink pearl, and then three small flowers on the bottom.  As I said, I like it, but not sure that I totally love it.

This week for my Crafty Gals Corner Design Team posting, I am working with the digi Tulip Umbrella by Miss Daisy Stamps.   Spring is just around the corner, so this was a great digi to use.  And, I received a bonus sentiment!

The challenge this week was to use your favorite tings. Everyone knows that I love to work with lace and flowers. So, this is what I worked with for this card. The card base is from the Silhouette Design Store (ID: 44890).  I matched the yellow in the tulips with a pale yellow paper, then used a yellow and white stripped paper for the front and for the insert on the inside. I also used a blue to match the umbrella as a highlight for the front of the card.    I finished off my card with my favorite things, a pretty piece of lace, a small white rose and two tiny pink roses.

It is plain and simple, but I really like it.  It will be a great pick me up card for someone feeling down.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, make sure you take time to visit the other design team member blogs.  They have some awesome creations to share with you.

Crafty Gals Corner ~ Challenge # 109 ~ Using Shades Of Red

Good Morning,

I am so excited to announce that I am one of the newest members of the Crafty Gals Corner Design Team.  My first project was to use Melonheadz images and create something using the color red.  I have used these images before and had so much fun working with them. So I was excited to work with them again.  So much so, that I made three cards and not just one.

All are considered Clean and Simple cards.   I hope you like them.  Do you have a favorite?
