Welcome to June's project for Her Craft Kre8tions. Of course there are rules that we implemented that the creativity could finish Marie as they wanted BUT (ok, there is always a BUT!!), it needed to be a journal with an additional image on the inside.

This is a picture of the full journal.  I received this fantastic paper in the mail from my wonderful sister in law.  I thought it would be perfect for this journal.  I love the antique chandeliers.  The muted pink colors are perfect for M' Lady. 

Here is a close up of M' Lady.  I colored her with my Prisma colored pencils and then used a lot of bling to highlight her dress.  Thankfully, I can pick up these gems for $1 at Wal-Mart. 

I needed some bling for the side of the journal.  I know what I wanted, but when I dug through my stash, I did not have what I wanted in pearls, only colors what would clash terrible with M'Lady.  So, I decided to make my own.  I have the hard plastic templates that I bought when I was learning to do stitching on cards.  I used a sharp pencil and made marks where my pearls needed to be.  I then dug out the tiny pearls from Stampin' Up.  The pearls were all in one string, so I took my craft knife and cut each on apart then used a quilters pin to apply them to the purple binder strip on the left edge.  It is not perfect by any means, and I wish I would have had tinier pearls for the top part, but I still think it looks okay.
