Welcome to Neverland

Welcome to Neverland.

Where is Neverland you ask,its in the minds of children - "second star to the right, and straight on till morning" and from afar, these stars depict Neverland in the distance. The Darling children, Wendy and her brothers are whisked away to the magical world of Neverland with the hero of their stories, Peter Pan.

Peter Pan, who takes them to Never Land, where there is an ongoing war between Peter's gang of rag-tag runaways and the evil Pirate Captain Hook is taking place. The novel Peter Pan mentions that there are many more suns and moons there than in our world, making time difficult to track, and that the way to find the time is to find the crocodile, as there is a clock inside it. The crocodile is also a nemesis to Captain Hook who lost his leg thanks to this crocodile.

Now Captain Hook is also Peter Pan's nemesis ..... Its adventure and the story of a boy who never wants to grow up .... hmmmmmmm, ok. not commenting on that! LOL!!!

Our sponsor for this hop is Lisa Peters of Scrapping with Lisa's Designs, http://scrappingwithlisadesigns.com/ who is offering a $20 certifcate towards free paper piecing files --- free is always good!!!

My computer and I are not on speaking terms today. While trying to use my Sure Cuts A Lot application today, it kept running slowly and freezing up. I tried multiple times only to realize that Microsoft was doing yet more updates. Updates that took multiple hours to complete. Leaving me little time to completed the cutting of my captain hook for my card. As such, I resorted to the digital method of coloring my design in Photoshop and sizing for a small card. This is not what I had hoped to complete for this project, but at last, I resorted to this. A quick little birthday card for a child who wants to travel to Never Land and battle Captain Hook himself.

Go Peter Pan!

I am not one to give up easily, so this evening I sat down and decided to go back to the SCAL ap and see if I could get it to work for me. I did manage to cut out my Baxter and put him together. He is not by any means what I would normally do. I for some unknown reason did not ink my edges before I put him together. However, I have always been one to show my mistakes as well as my successes. As such, here is my Baxter.
