I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose ~ November 1

My inspiration for you today: is the first sketch of the month, Sketch #14.

I really enjoyed working with this sketch as it was a fast and easy sketch to complete. 

Here is how I created my card

I used the 8.5x11 Vintage Digital Printable Scrapbook Paper- "Rose Multiply" which can be found at this link. 

I started my card by using a marbled cream colored card stock 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I layered that with a 5" x 5" piece of the Vintage Digital Printable Scrapbook Paper- "Rose Multiply".  I wish I would have inked the edges of this layer before I glued it down, but I forgot.  Using my Lacy Labels Cricut Cartridge, I cut out three shapes (called berries) the pink one I cut at 3.5 and inked the edges with a pink ink.  There is no name on this small ink pad.  I used my Martha Stewart double edged doily punch to create a 5 inch strip between my two layers of shapes.  For the sentiment, I used the same shape cut at 2" in white, inked with the same pink. The sentiment is stamped in black.  I completed the design with a pretty pink bow.

I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose ~ May 19

Today is day nineteen for the month of May. 






The sketch I used today was sketch number 31.

This is what I did with the sketch.

Plain and simple and made from all scraps! I downloaded the bicycle image from the Internet.  Added the gems also from my vast collection of gems.  I bought a couple of pounds of gems at Hobby Lobby.  Brown ribbon came from a card kit I had and had not used yet.   Sentiment shape was cut from the Lacy Labels cricut cartridges.

I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose ~ April 18

Welcome to Day 18 of I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose.

I am really enjoying the card sketches that I am using.   Tsunami Rose creates some awesome sketches and makes it so easy to turn the sketches into beautiful cards. I would like to invite each of you to  join our challenge and join the group here http://www.facebook.com/groups/106370486155916/.

The papers used for this card all came from my scrap bin, although, I do believe the flower paper is Stampin' Up paper. I cut the shape for my sentiment using my Lacy Labels Cartridge, and the stamp is a Stampin' Up stamp called "So Happy For You". The three purple flowers were purchased at Michael's.

Arbor Day Blog Hop

In the News: Arbor Day celebrated in Clarksville, 'Tree City USA' as quoted in their local paper "I have a saying that trees are one of our utilities, and the reason I say that is because they help clean the air, they help control rainwater runoff, they convert carbon dioxide into oxygen," he said. "What we really have when we have a line of trees around the city is a utility that provides good things for the population without having any cost associated with it."

Today, we are celebrating the wonderment of trees and we welcome you in our celebration. If you are just visiting me, I would love for you to have a good "roots" with our hop and start at the beginning of our seedling which is  at. I am a simple person, and this blog hop is no different.  I took a simple approach with what I wanted to do with this hop.  I wanted to highlight the importance of Arbor Day.  As such, I went to this web site to pulled up the mission of the organization.  I then went and pulled up the fact sheet about Arbor Day.  This is what I used on my layout.

The cut I used for this layout was cut at 9" from the Lacy Labels cut.  I then printed the facts on a 12 x 12 sheet of white card stock, and then carefully put this through my cricut to cut the white out at 8 1/2".  Once I added this to my layout, I grabbed my Pooh cartridge and cut out four trees, two at 4" and two at 3".   I then use pop-dots to pop the trees up off the design a little bit.  I completed the layout by adding three maple leaves to the top.

I cannot tell you what any of the paper is that I used for this layout.  If it did not come out of my scrap pile, it came from my sister in law.
