New Release Tuesday at The Stamping Chef

Hello and it is another  New Release Tuesday with The Stamping Chef.

I am back again on this wonderful Tuesday with another great digi from The Stamping Chef.  Each Tuesday two new digis are released in the store.  I really liked this weeks new release, and found so many wonderful uses for it.

Again, I colored my digi with my copic markers.  I am really beginning to enjoy the process of coloring with my markers, even though I still have a lot of work to do.  I have found I do better when I stick to the lighter colors.  Maybe it is because I do not yet have a full set and can not do the proper blending.

This weeks card is using the Keep Your Faith digi stamp. I just love the two big pink roses beside the praying hands.

I thought the antique looking musical paper was a great choice for this image.  I then embellished the card with a larger white rose and two smaller pink ones.  I thought about adding some pearls, but then decided it would distract from the beauty of this great digi.

The Stamping Chef ~ New Release Tuesday

Hello and it is another  New Release Tuesday with The Stamping Chef.

I am back again to share more new releases.  A cute cat and a wonderful camera digi.  Both digi's have unlimited possibilities and I can't wait for you to see what my design team sisters have done with these two images.  I know you won't be disappointed.

Here I what I have done with the images.  The first is the cat.  I love cats, but they don't like me.  They make me sneeze, so pictures and digis are all I can have.  I colored this digi using my Copic Markers.  I am getting better, but I know that I have a long way to go to  compete with others that I have seen.   I just keep practicing!

This digi is called The Cat's Meow and can be found by clicking on the link.

The second digi is called We Just Click.  Click on the link to go to the store to get your own digi.

The Stamping Chef ~ New Release Tuesday

Hello and it is another  New Release Tuesday with The Stamping Chef.   This week three new images have bee released, and I have created cards with two of them.  Take a look and let me know what you think.

The first card I have for you is titled Go Fetch.  A great fun image to color and turn into a card.  I chose to make mine a little more wild than I normally do.  A friend sent me this great stack of paper a few months ago, and I still had this fun piece left.

The sentiment is also from The Stamping Chef and can be found with the image Beware of Dog, which was the new release last week.

The next fun card is using the Birthday Bash digi.  This was a fun image to work with, but then, what party image isn't fun to play with.  I chose to do this digi in bright birthday colors to make this fun paper. I could have and should have added some glitter or stickles to make the image pop a little more, but in all honestly, I don't like glitter, and stickles and my hands do not play well together.  So, it is as it is!

The Stamping Chef ~ New Release Tuesday

Hello and it is another  New Release Tuesday with The Stamping Chef.  Tamara has really been busy creating some great new digis for you all to use in your cards, scrapbooks, and any other crafty project you may be developing.

For todays posting, I have created a fun card using the Down The Rabbit Hole digi. This was a wonderful digi to color, thou, I will admit, it did take me some time to get it completed because of the great details.  Just look at the wonderful details that are included in this digi stamp.  WOW!

I embellished this fun card with playing cards to match those in the digi, and some fun paper flowers as well.   I hope you like it.

This next card is not part of the New Release Tuesday, and honestly, not a digi stamp that I would normally color.  However, I do have to say now that I have completed it, I will be doing more.  I like how this card turned out.   This card uses the Bitter Sweet digi.

The only thing I wish I would have done differently with my digi is lessened the stark white back ground.  I should have inked up the back ground just a little bit.

A new change that Tamara has added to the store is just awesome.  When you shop for new digis, you will see a  complete colored digital image in the store.  I feel this helps us all step up and out of our comfort zones just a little bit.  Much like coloring these two digis today.  I might not have been as willing to take on the details without first seeing a beautiful completed design.   Thanks Tamara for doing that.

Make sure you visit The Stamping Chef blog to see other great designs by the Design Team.  While you are on the blog, make sure you check out the FREE files that you can get with a purchase.  Tamara and her nation are in celebration of the crowning of the new King. Check it out!

The Stamping Chef New Release Tuesday

Hello and it is another  New Release Tuesday with The Stamping Chef.  I am sure you will be more than pleased with the new releases for this week.  Tamara has been hard at work creating all new digis for you.  I know you will be pleased with what you find.  Please, take a look for yourself.
I am back again with more fun cards from The Stamping Chef.  Each week brings a new challenge for me with coloring the digis.  This week I have a fun image and a beautiful soft fairy.  I hope you enjoy them both.

Beware of Dog

This first card uses the Beware of Dog Digi.  How darn cute is he? I wanted the dog to be the main focus of the card.  As such, I used stricly black and red card stock and three small black pearls in the bottom of the card.  While I really had intended to use a "Sorry I Forgot Your Birthday" sentiment, I changed my mind and went with "A Happy Hello".  He just looks so happy to go on a  forgetful card.

Lost Fairy

In all honestly, I was very worried about starting this card. I was afraid I would not be able to do the image justice. It is such a beautiful fairy!!!  I colored her with very light pastel colors. I was most worried about how to complete the wings. I wanted them to appear transparent, so I used the lightest blue copic I had in my case. Once I colored them, I used my blending marker to help remove some of the color.

Her hair was fun, I used a darker yellow to bring out the highlights, I followed that up with a very light yellow, blending the two colors together.  Because she is a fairy, I thought she needed a little bit of color added in her hair, so I added some very soft pink highlights as well.  I can say, this is one of the first times I really like the hair since I have started coloring with my copics.

For her skin, I used my lightest color for skin.  I did not add much in the way of highlights, other than a little tiny bit of blush pink and some darker pink for her lips.  I am also pleased with how her skin tone turned out.

I completed the  coloring with a light pastel green dress.

I do like how this weeks cards turned out.  I hope you do as well. I would love to hear your comments.

It's a Becca Boo Tuesday ~ New Release Tuesday At The Stamping Chef

Hello and it is another  New Release Tuesday with The Stamping Chef.  Tamara has been slaving away at the art table to come up with some super new digis for you to add to your collection.  Todays new releases, Becca Boo series are just to cute to not own.

Just take a look for yourself.
Today, I have to two fun cards for you. I am still learning with my copic markers, but the more i use them, the easier I find them to be.  I still however, forget to write down the colors that I used when I color my digis.  I must get better at that.  I really enjoyed coloring this weeks "New Releases" for Tuesday.  Not only are they super cute, they were super fast to color as well.   Skin tones still are bothersome for me, they are either to dark or to orange.  A works in progress, but a fun one.

Cool Becca Boo

The first card I have for you is the Cool Becca Boo. You can get your own copy of Cool Becca Boo by clicking on her name.

I think this cute Becca Boo has a sweet little look on her face, which I thought went perfect with the sentiment, "Daddy, I'll always be your little girl".  I think it makes a perfect Father's Day card for any father.  Because it is a Father's Day card, I chose to use plaids of purple and green.

Becca Boo

The second card I made is also Becca Boo.  You can get your copy of Becca Boo by clicking on here name.  This little cute Becca Boo is just adorable, and I thought at first a Mother's Day card, but then I remembered I had these cute little stamps that I received in the mail as a RAK.   She has such a cute look like the previous Becca Boo, as she is looking at that flower.  I decided to add a cute little bird and the sentiment "how tweet of you" and an additional little flower beside the sentiment.  I accented the cut out with two small purple pearls.  I also added a small purple pearl to the middle of my little flower on the sentiment.

I would love to hear your comments.

New Release Tuesday at The Stamping Chef

Hello Everyone, and thanks for coming back to check out the New Release Tuesday with The Stamping Chef.  I hope you enjoy the new look of my blog.  I know a lot of hard work went into the new design.  I think it is much nicer to look at, and it certinaly is much easier to navigate.
Today, I have to two fun cards for you.

The first (sorry for the poor quality of picture) is title "Foiled Again" and was created for one of our wonderful design team members who is a hair dresser.  She has her own salon called Foiled Again.

I colored this digi with my copic markers, then mounted her on purple papers to highlight the colors in her shirt and pants.  Purple is also, (if memory serves me right) one of the colors she is using in her salon.

I added a layer of Swiss dot embossed paper over a layer of purple paper and  (tried) to evenly space the two and center the colored digi over the top of them.

Of course, no card is complete without a bit of bling.  So, I added some matted diamonds.  The reminded me of the lights that would be used in a modeling studio as well as the lights used around the mirrors of a salon station.

Foiled Again

My second card is titled "Ariana".  I guess I must have been in a purple kind of mood when I was coloring.  Ariana is layered on the same purple paper I used for the Foiled Again card.  However, I also added a much lighter shade of purple in as well. I wanted her to pop off the page and stand out against the flowers in the back ground.

I added a scalloped die cut in the two purples along the side of the card and topped that off with a purple and white layered flower and then golden ivory colored pearls.  The sentiment was layered over the purples.

I really like how this one turned out.  The yellows in the floral back ground compliment her hair color and the light lavender color compliments the purple in her dress and hat.

Ariana

I appreciate your stopping in for a visit today.  I hope you will take the time to stop in and view all the great digis at The Stamping Chef. There are some adorable ones coming out, I know you will not want to miss out on them.

I would love to hear your comments.

Stamping Chef ~ New Release Tuesday

Okay, Okay. . .

So it is Thursday and not Tuesday, but I have been unable to access my blog and it has not made me one bit happy.  So, enjoy the Tuesday releases on Thursday, and let me know what you think.

You will find all the fun digis by going to The Stamping Chef Store by following this link.  Make sure you browse around while you are there.  There are some super cute digis out for your coloring pleasure.

This first card was so much fun to make.  I used Culinary Claire (isn't she just the cutest little chef) to create this fun card.  I am a chocolate person, so the sentiment from Create With TLC was just perfect for this card.

After I completed the card, took the picture and got it ready for posting, I realize, drats, I should have added some chocolate brown pearls onto the pink paper.   I can still do that too, I think it would add some to the card, don't you?

Here is the second card that I completed for the Tuesday release.  this one was a lot of fun to do as well, and don't you think she really looks sassy holding that camera.  I can just picture her telling people where to stand so she can take their picture.

I used copic markers to color up this fun Say Cheese digi. I know, I am still learning, but I am having a great time playing around with them.  Again, I used a sentiment from Create with TLC to add character to the card.

Both of the Create with TLC sentiments were free sentiments.  However, once you browse her blog, I am confident you will find so many sentiments that you won't know which one to use first.

Thanks for taking the time to preview my New Release Tuesday cards.  Make sure you come back next week to check out the great digis I have colored and ready to display.

Stamping Chef ~ New Release Tuesday

New Release Tuesday

Happy Tuesday Morning and thanks for stopping by my blog to see my newest creations for The Stamping Chef's  New Release Tuesday. Be sure to come back every Tuesday to see what The Stamping Chef's have created for your pleasure. This week's creations are just fabulous and I am sure you will enjoy them all.

The new releases can be found at the Stamping Chef Store.  Lucy Lou and Rockin' Retro are the two releases today.

Here is what I did with the two digi's.  As always I created my cards by coloring them with Crayola Colored Pencils and blending with Gamsol.

Lucy Lou

Designer Papers are scraps from a friend. Ribbon for my stash, and the flowers are from Prima.

I toyed with the idea of adding more color to her top, but I was afraid I would mess her up so I just left it be.  I am still learning all about the right  colors to use for skin tone, and still feel as if my people are to pale.

Rockin' Retro

Designer paper from scraps, the cut is from a Spell Binders Die called Small Deckled Mega Rectangles, ribbon is from my stash and the "Groovy Baby" sentiment I printed from my computer.

Thanks for stopping in for a look today.  Take a few minutes to visit The Stamping Chef Store and my DT sisters,  I know you won't be disappointed. Links are below:

Stamping Chef ~ Val N'Tine

Good Morning,

Today I have for you a posting from The Stamping Chef.  I have used Val N'Tine to create a nice birthday card that would work great for a masculine card.

This card reminds me very much of a young Marilyn Monroe singing while sitting upon her piano.  You can find this Val N'Tine digi by going to the Stamping Chef Store here, or clicking on her name.

I colored my digi using Crayola Colored Pencils and blended with Gamsol.  Yes, I know she is not perfect, but I still think she turned out pretty good.  I added a chocolate brown grosgrain ribbon, and three various colors of brown buttons. I completed the card with a happy birthday sentiment.  Thou, after I took the pic, I realized I used the wrong red piece so I am going to carefully disassemble and fix the sentiment.

Make sure that you also take the time to visit the blogs of my Design Team sisters.  They have some wonderful designs to share with you as well.

The Stamping Chef Celebrations Challenge

I am starting the new year off right, in my craft room working on challenges.  Today, I am doing the celebrations challenge from The Stamping Chef.

The challenge was to create a card from any image so I used on the the free images found Miffy which can be found here.

To create this cute card, I create a card stock base, then covered it with Rainbow Hearts paper from Paper Pizazz, which after doing an online search, I have learned is now Paper Wishes.   I got the pretty sheet of paper from Lynne over at HerCraftiness.

Miffy was colored using crayola colored pencils and blended with gamsol.  I used a copic marker (E00 skin white) to color her face, arms, and legs.  Miffy is pop-dotted up off of the paper over the top of a bright pink satin ribbon.  I used the "My Valentine" stamp and a diamond heart to complete the Valentine's Day card.

I hope you will take time to create a "celebrations" card for the fun challenge.  There are some great images on the site to use.

Thanks for stopping by today!
